If you ever have to walk along the Palace Avenue in Sandakan, a much-talked about Agnes Keith House is difficult to lose. With the green grass met and colonial-style wooden walls, the residence has now been restored by Sabah Museum, in collaboration with the Museum and antiquity Department. The British colonial government quarters, called Newlands, once occupied by the famous author of the United States, Agnes Newton Keith, who has produced the land below the wind in 1939. Two books followed his first success three came home (1946) and white man returns (1951).
